James O’Dea, our president, made several positive remarks about
the momentum he and others see in the world toward
transformation (new paradigm thinking and actions). And IONS is
part of that, he said, putting out more scientific and spiritual
evidence through its experiments (see below) and its gathering
of evidence into a new publication (also below).
Also speaking to us today was Stephen Dinan, Director of
Marketing for IONS and creator of the
Shift In Action web site
that has generated new members and a lot more value for IONS
members at that level.
Evidence of IONS’ role in
transformation of society
“We’re poised for this being
a powerful year for IONS,” he said, then he enumerated some of
the evidence:
1) IONS
Sr. scientist Dr. Dean Radin’s book “Entangled Minds” has proven
very popular
2)
Radin had an appearance on the
“Oprah” show two weeks ago
3)
Radin has a radio tour coming up
4) IONS
is launching The Noetic Press to publish books, including other
people’s.
5) IONS
is establishing a strong relationship with Lynne McTaggart,
author of “The Field”, organizer of bi-annual “Living the Field”
conferences in London, England, and founder of WDDTY (What
Doctors Don’t Tell You), based in London and available on line.
Lynne will be a featured speaker at the upcoming
IONS 2007 International Conference: Consciousness in Action: The
Science and Practice of Transformation inLa Quinta (Palm
Springs, CA), August 8-12.

The new Shift in Action web site is
accruing wide readership and has proven to be a springboard for
activities and ways to learn about transformational ideas and
actions through postings and the weekly teleseminars & archived
for later listening.
The 2007 Shift Report:
Evidence of a World Transforming
In
“about a week or so,” O’Dea said IONS members will receive “The
2007 Shift Report” in place of the next “Shift” magazine. “This
is a time of enormous growth and “The Shift Report” will map
transformations occurring now,” he said. Bob Blackstone, a
long-time Community Group leader and IONS Network Council
member, was at the Board meeting and also this conference call.
He said this report is absolutely excellent and is worth far
more than the $10 cost for extras. (It may be possible to get
extra copies at a lower price if ordered in bulk or if a CG
leader/liaison successfully markets the conference. (I am going
to ask for more details about this and will report what I
learn).
Edgar Mitchell has asked for boxes of these reports. IONS Board
VP Lynne Twist asked for hundreds of them. And The Fetzer
Institute has also asked for dozens, O’Dea told us.
