After leaving my role as IONS Director of Member Engagement a
number of months ago, I wanted to really continue and expand my
foundation in the field of consciousness studies. So I ended-up
getting involved with a learning community called Gateway to
Conscious Evolution
which ties together the work of leading voices in the
consciousness movement, including: Duane Elgin, Buckminster
Fuller, Nassim Haramein, Jean Houston, Ervin Laszlo, Elisabet
Sahtouris, Rupert Sheldrake, Brian Swimme, Eckhart Tolle, &
Neale Donald Walsch” among others. Are you familiar with it?
I have been so impressed that I have decided to become a guide
myself” helping lead people through the program.
I have been thinking that Gateway structured curriculum would be
a really great learning and engagement tool for many of IONS
Community Groups ”since so many of them are really looking for
content. And I think a guided, many month curriculum could be
really valuable.
I've been in conversation with Teresa Collins, who is currently
running Gateway. I was telling her that I thought there would be
a great fit between the curriculum that she has developed and
IONS Community Groups ”many of whom are often searching for good
content for their groups. I was trying to see if there was
a great win-win-win where everyone could benefit from what
Gateway has created. Teresa suggested an innovative model that I
think might work well for all interested parties. The
Community Groups could put out the word about the next Wave of
the Gateway learning curriculum, which begins at the end of
February. In exchange, those community group members who sign-up
would get great content, and either get a personal guide or form
a sub-group within the local CG that could be supported by a
Gateway. In addition, the Community Group who spreads the word
would also get a referral fee of $50 per person who enrolls in
Gateway's program. And Gateway would also give an additional $25
to IONS hub-quarters, so they win too.
In addition, Teresa would be willing to send each community
group who decides to promote the Gateway program a free copy of
Barbara Marx Hubbard new DVD that just came out called
Humanity Ascending: A New Way Through Together (see

for details). I know this video would be something great to show
at one of the community group meetings since it is It would also
provide a great entry-point to give IONS CG folks in Seattle a
taste of the program¦ so they could take the next step if they
so desired.
