Tahdi Blackstone's Board Report

The Institute of Noetic Sciences Community Network Board Representatives are Ana Lia Alvarez from Argentina and Tahdi Blackstone from Los Angeles.  June, 2006 was Tahdi's first IONS board meeting.

Hi Loved Ones,

The Board minutes are not out yet, so I'm not trying to send you an official report without Ana Lia, but this report she would, I know, not help me with and probably wouldn't approve my sending you so I'm doing it anyway - BECAUSE YOU WOULD BE SOOOO PROUD OF HER!!!  She was terrific, articulate, the essence of feminine power!

So for starters...

I have to tell you I was floored at the amount of passion, compassion, heart, wisdom, integrity, honesty, concern for the earth, agreeing to and honoring of disagreement, caring, etc. that went on in the board meeting.  I was  thrilled with the general tone and openness.  One lady made such an impassioned and magnificent statement/plea about many things including the opportunity we had before us of setting an example and being an inspiration to the world by building our campus in harmony and responsibility to the earth, that I had to get soundly shushed for applauding her in such disorder!

At another time, Ana Lia spoke up and asked if we were coming from an unnecessarily limited consciousness rather than the abundance we could choose instead - and spoke with such quiet eloquence and power you would have all leapt to your feet with wild and disorderly applause, so you, too, would have to have been shushed!!!  I believe she helped shift the focus.  (If any of you have any wonderful ideas of how IONS could raise more money, write up a business plan and send it to Bruce Roberts, the head of the development committee.)

Every board meeting, they have one of their Board members give a 20 to 30 minute "Who Am I?"  Ana Lia was the one this meeting to give hers.  You would have been so proud of her.  She was open, vulnerable, funny, honest, no false humility, no hiding the pain and problems of her life but neither expressing the slightest self pity.  She was magnificent.  And you felt like you really knew her, knew her family, and her circumstances  when she was finished.  It was great.  I would love to follow their lead and initiate that for us  if we start having regular meta council meetings and not just remain fractured.

The property will continue to be used for the purposes for which we are here only better because IONS will be unburdened of its financial albatross and the land will be used for the benefit of IONS and other kindred spirit organizations in partnership - very brilliant... so if you know of any that you believe would be appropriate partners - let James know.

When the minutes come out, Ana Lia, Bruce, Jane, Shirley, whoever, and I will send you an official recap of the wonderful reports from each of the departments, James', Marilyn's  and Stephen's breathtaking and moving visions and accomplishments, and the rest of the meeting.  I just wanted to send you a tiny personal note fresh from the experience.

I have never loved IONS more, or seen it more clearly as the potential rallying flag for the world where we draw and focus  on everything awe inspiring and important for global transformation - especially now as they lead us into an era of cooperation rather than competition with other like minded organizations.  HOORAY!!

Enough for now.  All love, Tahdi
